I’m a broker with steady shipper freight and need to cover Chicago→Dallas and KC→Houston the week of 10/14; I can usually bump shippers $100–200 if we lock in early… If you’re a 53’ dry van wanting 2–3 loads a week with straight talk on rates and accessorials, tell me your target per mile and preferred days so I can match you.
53’ dry van based in Joliet; CHI→DAL works at $2.25–2.35 all-in with Tue/Wed pickups (Fri drop ok), KC→HOU closer to $2.40 if it rolls late-week. If your rate con spells out ‘2 hrs free, $75/hr detention’ and you can truly ‘bump shippers $100–200,’ we’ll lock early — detention that pays isn’t Bigfoot. Want me to DM MC and preferred windows?
@OP I can cover week of 10/14 at $2.35/mi CHI→DAL and $2.45/mi KC→HOU, prefer Tue–Thu pickups with Fri drop or Mon AM in Houston; if it’s 45k or has extra stops, we’ll need a small bump. Quick tip from my side: make the rate con say ‘SLC, no pallet exchange, no driver assist’ — a Dallas DC tried to tag pallets/hand-unload on us until we pointed to that line.
Ran this lane twice last month; @OP we’re good at $2.40/mi into DFW and $2.50/mi to Houston with Mon–Wed pickups, deliver end of week or Mon AM. Grand Prairie held us 3.5 hrs — if the confirmation says ‘2 hours free then detention,’ we’ll send in/out stamps and keep it smooth. If it’s 45k+ or multi-stop we’ll need a bump, and note some receivers don’t allow overnight staging so we use TA Terrell as a buffer — otherwise my logbook cries.
